" Siblings"

Hi everyone and thank you so much
for stopping by.
Today I am sharing a layout that I did for the challenge site Color,Stories and Inspiration as part of the design team.
This is a photo that was taken at my youngest son, " Wade "at his 21st birthday family dinner.
This is him on the right with his older sister and brother.
Its so hard to get these 3 together for a nice photo.

I distressed down each side of the layout and added a layer from Bo Bunny - Double Dot collection "Chiffon Vintage" . All the fussy cut flowers were inked around the edges with Distress ink.
The ScrapFX title was painted with  ceramcoat paint.

The Case File
The Scheme:  Buttery Yellow, Turquoise, orange, White and Copper Brown.
The Evidence: I used stripes, googly eyes, light bulbs, bows, labels and circles.
The Testimony: I wrote  my journalling on the back of the page. I wrote about the night which was for Wade's 21st.
Some of its personal (sorry) but some of it goes like this.. Happy 21st to my baby Wade. I begged and begged for you to have a party but no, you are not the man to be put in the spotlight. So we had a small family dinner and it turned out to be a funny night. I gave you the traditional socks and jocks, all wrapped separately. Photo time and of course in each photo except the one above, one of you three pulled a stupid face. This seems to be a tradition in our family when having photos taken. I must say on this night your "Siblings " played up more than you did.

I sat with a cuppa and fussy cut out heaps of the flowers to place around the photo. I found the little
bird in my Kaiser cut outs and added a googly eyes as per the case file.

The background paper Kaisercraft - Paradiso Collection " Sandy Toes"  had so much on it that all I did was add some Gesso with a credit card. Popped some tags from the Kaiser cutouts stash with the date on on of them,

I use some 2Crafty chicken wire which I inked with Distress ink
then some random brown embossing powder.
I found these layered butterflies in my stash and they are just perfect for this page.

You can see all the layers in this side photo. I added a key to
signify Wades 21st. I love the date stamp on the side.
CSI has a library with heaps of items you can print off and use on your layouts.
Here you can see the yellow paper in the layers, this is from the CSI library.

21 for his birthday and some fussy cut out butterflies to go with the
other layered butterflies.

I felt that the flowers needed some depth to them so I added
some buttery yellow pearl paste to the centre of them all.
Finished the layout off with some Petaloo flowers in the Turquoise.

This is case file 196

Some of the other items I used;
Brown bassill card stock
2Crafty chicken wire chipboard
Petaloo flowers
Gesso
lightbulb
metal key
string
CSI papers from the library

" Simply Adorable "

Hello everyone,
welcome to another White With1 challenge.
I want to share with you all my design team layout for this months colour,   'Lavender '

I just love this colour, its just so pretty and so girly. Everything I just love to do. This is a photo of my Mum and my Grandaughter Emelia. My Mum lost part of her finger when I was about 6 months old opening a can of baby food. Emelia was so intrigued that 'Little Nanny" (that's what the grandkids call her ) finger that she wouldn't let go of it, that's what Mum is laughing at.

Torn edges top and bottom and then inked. I random punched these edges.
Lace peeking out just adds that girly feel.
I used a stencil and added some Impasto then Gelatos and water to get that soft inked look.
White ink with white embossing powder with a script stencil.
I find that the white ink from Stamping up just wont dry but if I use embossing
powder over the top and heat set it, its brilliant.
You will see that the script writing is running down the page. This is because I was going to run the
page the other way but I liked it more the way it is.

This is the March colour at White With 1.
There are some great prizes up for grabs, so why not have a
go and play with this gorgeous colour.

The ScrapFX and 2Crafty chipboard have been painted and rubbed with a white shimmer ink
from Mr Huey. I love these strings of diamante  and think they look gorgeous running down the page.
Plus the little diamond hearts just finish off the jewels.

Lots of layers as usual. I don't think I could do a 'flat ' layout. I did several
layers of white embossing on the title till I got the look I was after.
Not as smooth as I normally have
but I still like it.

I have been trying to use lots of those left over pieces of chipboard that we all seem to accumulate
and in this layout I found some 2Crafty pieces that I painted white and added some
of the lavender Gelato to the edges.
I added some Lavender splatters to the background to finish it off.

I found the bridges in my chipboard left over box. Yes I have a plastic tub/box that sits on my
work space and I put all my left over chipboard pieces in it. When I do a layout I am trying to
get into a habit of checking this to see if there is anything I can use.
Love these D-lish flowers and my 'little bird" peeking
out over the top. I think he is gorgeous.

Flourish with Bling puffy flourish on the background was just the perfect colour. Some more chippy
vines that I painted white.
Well there are lots more to see on this layout and I do love to add lots of little
bits and pieces of yummy goodies.

Till next time
keep on scrapping

" Love Us"

Hi everyone....
Well I have been so busy and realised that I am so behind in my blog posts.
Blogging is one of those things that you either love or hate and I think I'm somewhere in the middle.
Sometimes I love it and sometimes I just find it hard to get into and procrastinate way to much.

So I am challenging myself to get in front with all my bloggings lol lol
Yep I have given myself 2 weeks so hold onto your hats there are some pages coming over the next 2 weeks.

So here we go, this is the start of my challenge and I'm starting with a
CSI (Color, Stories and Inspiration) Case File.
This is case file no 168.

I really challenge myself  bright primary colours  come up in a case file or any other challenge for that matter.
This is a photo of my youngest son Wade and his girlfriend Kelsey about the time they first got together.
WOW !! that is such along time ago now.
They have grown their relationship from a cute high school romance into the most amazing love story.
I love these guys so much and couldn't imagine them not together.
Because their relationship is fun and vibrant that's how I wanted the page to be, a real reflection of their journey.

CASE FILE ELEMENTS:
The Scheme: dark gray/blue, Light gray/blue, Bright yellow, Red and white. All colours here.
The Evidence: I used stripes, grid pattern, other animals, cursive font, balloons, use a pair of something and puffy stickers.
The Testimony: I scattered my journalling on 3 tags which are behind the layers with the inspirational words;
tag 1..Wade and Kelsey, I have watched you grow from the dorky couple into the hottest couple around town.
tag 2... Two of you together are always happy with each others company
tag 3.. What ever and wherever you journey takes you I hope you will always find happiness together.

NOW FOR SOME CLOSE UPS.....

For the background I used the bubble stencil and added the 2 different gray/blue colours to some texture paste.
You can see that the chipboard numbers have been painted with black Crackle paint

I am loving the cursive font on the stickers to use as my titles especially with a funky page like this one.
Some black grid stamping and layers and layers.

Yes I fussy cut out all the little balloons and edged them with ink. The little birds, flowers , flairs and the white star are just the best embellies for this page.

The edge of the page was only trimmed on 2 sides. I punched and inked them.
Then with a black pen I decided to doodle all wound the edges.

CSI have some great Aussie companies for sponsors this month
