" Our Happy Place "

Back again with another layout for

This is " Major Case File 202 "
The Major case file runs for the whole month so if you haven't played along then this is the one.
You have all the colours and the sketch too, how easy is that?

For this case file I decided to base it on our home. We have totally renovated it from the back fence to the front gutter and everything in between.
For this case file I have done before and after photo's of the front of our home which fits
the Topic section of the Testimony.

I changed the sketch a little and used square photos rather than the round ones.

Brick stamping and underneath the cluster I did stencil in some bricks with texture paste but as usual I covered most of it with lots and lots of embellies.

Major Case File 202 with the sketch by Emma Stafrace

Case File Elements
The Scheme - Sky Blue, Cadet Blue, Bright White, Muted Yellow and Olive Green
The Evidence- I used solid white background, grid pattern architectural elements, triangles, diamonds, metal, transparent accents, stamps and border punch
The Testimony - I created my border with my testimony and used the Topic documenting something about our home and using the Writing Format by listing all the renovations we have completed so far.

Now for some details and the closeups....

I used the negative of the the frames, being one who never throws out anything but really the negatives of the chipboard  sometimes make great pieces to have peeking
out from behind the clusters.

These are the actual frames from ScrapFX and I have just
realised they have the diamond shape as per the evidence list.

I love to make little things to add to my pages and on this one I made a sign post.

I used a stapler to add the triangle quotes to  make the banner

Because we live so close to the beach I wanted to  put a few beachy elements
in the layout. So I added the thongs (flip flops)

Some gauze and paints splats to finish the layout.

Just a few other products I used....
Colour Blast paste- Sunshine and Snow White
Ceramcoat paints- North sea, White and Black
Bellish alphabet stickers.
Prima Vintage Trinket -Numbers

Welcome, thank you for taking the time to stop by my little blog.

Today I am sharing a layout as part of the design team

I love this recent photo of my youngest granddaughter

with the two of them are watching TV.
Well George is asleep and Eliza is watching TV

This is the case file 201
Case file Elements
The Scheme- Minty blue green, Bright Coral, Bright White, Medium Brown and Taupe. All here.
The Evidence- I used from the list, Cats, Flowers, Diamond Shape, Triangles, Frame, Stripes and car.
The Testimony - I used the presentation and have my journalling on tags peeking through the car window. You can see Eliza and Georges name's coming through the windscreen.

Now for some of the closeups......

I matted the photo's on some striped paper as per the case file requirements.
ScrapFX title white gesso and then I smudged coral colour across it.

Love the D-lish flair on the bow, just suits the layout.

Heaps of my favorite embellishment at the moment, which
are " prills" Those gorgeous little beads of different sizes
with no holes in them.
I love to "drip " them down and across other embellies.

So happy with the arrow I made, which I put across the bottom of the photos.
I like the die cut roses that I added to the paper after I added the background paint.

" Scrapaholic "

Hi everyone and welcome back to my little blog.
Today I'm so happy to be sharing a layout that I did as part of the Design Team at

This is a very pretty colour for this month's challenge.

Yes this is a rare picture of me, which was taken about 2 years ago at my very first scrapbooking retreat.
It was at the beautiful Summerland point in the Lake Macquarie are of New South Wales.

These little resin birds are a new addition to my scrapping family from
The Resin Rainbow, do yourself a fav and have a look at
all the wonderful designs they have on offer.

Tore the white paper in half and added a layer of the houndstooth pattern and lace.

lots and lots of layers in this one. More wildlife in the birds and the glass ladybirds
on the flowers, can you see their eyes looking at you?

Bead, or anything else you can think of into the bottle top adds a little more interest to the layers too.
All the chipboard pieces were painted white.

Love to add a quote/words to these resin frames.

Prills, prills and more prills, I just love them. I have adhered them
to the ends of the painted chipboard seed stems.
The chabachon is handmade by ME!
