" This is Me "

Hi and welcome,
today I want to share my latest DT work for case file 159 at
CSI; Color,Stories and Inspiration.
As soon as I saw the colours in this case file I knew I wanted to do a layout of all things girly. This is a photo of myself  just before I left to go to my daughters year 12 formal some @# years ago lol lol.
My doesnt the time just fly by.  I hated this photo when it was first taken but now I think it is quite a good photo of oneself.

Love this case file and had a fantastic time solving it.

Look at the great sponsors for this case file..

The Case file elements:
The Scheme; Grayish teal blue, light ecru, light mauve, plum and black- all present
The Evidence; I have used the following; flowers, feathers, grid pattern, paints, stamps, jewels, mixed media, scallops, decorative border and spread the title across the page.
The Testimony; ( due the layout I wrote mine on the back )
I documented about myself and used the Inspiration Words which fits in with my title "This is Me"
It reads;
This is Me,
I am a simple soul who has always wanted the simple things in life. A beautiful home a loving family and peace. I have a wonderful home and a loving husband. Together we have painstakingly  renovated our home which is nearly finished now.
The last renovation to do is my new craft room, but more about this later. My garden has taken some time to get it the way I love it but now I can spend endless hours in it enjoying its natural beauty. I love to tinker in my garden whenever I have the opportunity. I only buy new plants when I know my 2 granddaughters are coming to visit so that they can help me find there new homes in my garden. My girls love to garden with Nanny it is such a special time for all of us. I have three beautiful children that I love and 2 gorgeous granddaughters that just make my heart smile. I always wanted to be a Mum but I think I was born to be a Nanny and its something that is the life of my soul.

Lots of flowers and love the little dotted feathers
I added instead of chippy pieces.

The title I wanted to do something a little different
so I coloured it
with Gelatos half and half and then
 covered it in Glossy Accents.

Heaps and heaps of stamping in the background.
Texture paste and Lindy Stamp Gang inks, paints
and gelatos for the colours in the background

I love the way the colour ran down the page

There are so many elements in this background,
plasters tape, b
its of black tuhle, washi tape, chippy pieces, inks, stamping, jewels, layers of papers, lace
and all this in just the background.

" I just love these Kids"

                                    Hi everyone and welcome..
Its time for another case file at
CSI, Color, Stories and Inspiration.
This little beauty is case file no 158
I hope you love it as much as I enjoyed creating this one.
I love the colours in this months case file and decided to do a soft girly page, just the type of layouts that I love to do.

The gorgeous little angels are my 2 granddaughters Emelia and Eliza.
They have had their photos taken with the teddy bears they were given when they were first born.  These were bought for them by their very proud Nanny and Poppy....
Love the softness of this case file.
Dont forget that there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs.
Take a peek at these sponsors..

The Scheme; Pale blue, light peach, olive, white and cool dark brown.. all accounted for.
The Evidence; I used polka dots, checks, trees/branches,string,animals,stitching,bows,leather/fabric and fasteners.
The Testimony; I wrote about a favourite childhood toy and used the inspiration words of cuddle, companion and special. These are on the tags behind the photo, able to be pulled out by the string.
Emelia's reads; Milly my first cuddle was about 30 minutes after you were born. I was waiting patiently in the waiting room. That was such a special day that I hope every time you cuddle your teddy you remember me and Poppy. We love you xo
Eliza's reads; That cheeky smile will get you out of any trouble teamed with those big blue eyes, what a combination. You sit on my bench to help me cook and love to dress up and paint your little nails. You are such a girly girl. You are such a great companion to me. Not much into teddies and toys preferring to do the more hands on chores. We love that you are our little girl xo.

CLOSE UPS AND THE FINER DETAILS;

Lots of my fav embellies on this one "flowers"
My birdies were painted and then I added glitter to 'just their wings

The tags behind my photos have a journalling on them.
Stitched around the whole layout.

tucked some lace in the layers to soften the whole effect.
Added some script texture paste top soften the background

Layers and layers and torn papers on this one.

" Just the Girls "

Well hello again.
I can't believe that I am actually doing another post today, that's 3.
I had started this one at the scrap retreat I was on recently but just didn't get time to finish it.
So today was the day and voila its done.
To create this little beauty I used the sketch from
The Scrap Suite, D-lish Cybercrop Challenge #4 by Lynn

This is a photo of myself and my friend Michelle at her 40th birthday party in November 2014. Michelle shares her birthday with her daughter so it was a double celebration. What a wonderful night we all had.
I decided to use my most favorite colour combo for this one with lots of flowers and bling.
Heaps of stamping on the background with Faber's Big brushes.
As you can see I have distressed and then random punched the edges. Very soft feminine effect.

I love the layers on this page and added Micro beads to the chippy vines

2Crafty chippies for the title and the vines and those
cute little lady bugs on the flowers

printing on coloured cardstock and then matting
on another colour is a great effect

Im a fan of adding bits and pieces of all things yummy to my clusters

I'm always finding new ways to use the Kaisercraft cutouts and teamed up with my most
favorite ribbon from Green Tara.
The single flair on this page I reallocated from Michelle's AMAZING stash of flairs
.

Papers;

" Magic Happens "

Hello everyone,
yes I'm back again with another layout.
This one is for the March monthly challenge at D-Lish Scraps
I took inspiration from their mood board by using the sketch and flipping it sideways. I love the colours so I have incorporated them into my colour palette and of course flowers...these are my favourite embellishment and something I think I add to all of my layouts.

This one I did at a recent scrapbook retreat at Tahlee in NSW with a fantastic bunch of like minded scrappers.
It is of my gorgeous but very messy granddaughter Emelia or Milly for short.

As you can see I flipped the mood board sideways and ran the 3 photos
across the top of the page

Heaps of paint and paint splatters on the
background of this one...it matches the mess on Milly
.

I love these little wood birds I picked
up in one of my local shops.
Bits of crochet cotton threaded around
the clusters adds a little something.

I love the new Kaisercraft clear stickers....
the little heart and the fun arrow.

2Crafty chippies and that adorable blackboard house.....
 lots of layers and paints.

Some items I used
Cardstock
Gesso
Texture paste
Jo Sonja paints
Prima flowers
Petaloo flowers
2Crafty chippies
Kaisercraft Clear Stickers
Plasterers tape
crochet cotton

" Selfies "

Major case file 157

Hi everyone and welcome to another layout I have created as a Design Team member at
CSI; Color, Stories and Inspiration http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com/
This case file is all about photographing yourself, something I don't like to do. I am not a fan of having my photo taken at any time.
I thought I would include a photo taken of me when I was just a young naive girl of 18 and one of today. Wow what a difference.

This is the case file and the sketch that I loosely followed but I flipped on its side. Em Stafrace does a fantastic job on these sketches and don't forget you have a whole month to do this one.

CSI has some awesome sponsors this month, just have a look at what's on offer for prizes

Now for the case file elements:
The Scheme: Turquoise, white, bright red, medium gray and black, all definitely here.
The Evidence: I used grid pattern, scallop pattern, camera, circles, metal, hearts and pen work.
The Testimony is in the circles on the background which reads;
1977 Me at a footy function at Cranbourne Hall. Never happy of photos of me. 2014 My profile picture for CSI and still not happy having my photo taken.

Now for the close ups and some details:

I love the Kaisercraft word stickers and I have used them in a few places.
The background I stamped the circles with Archival ink and then coloured them in with paint lightly.

I amin love with the green tara ribbon that you can pull to get these amazing clusters of ribbon. More grid stamping
and some fish tails coming off the heart frames.

Bits and bobs added to my clusters.
For a change I used white leaves and am very happy with the result.

Some of the products that I used:
cardstock
corrugated board
Jo Sonja paints
green tara flowers and ribbons
D-Lish white leaves
2Crafty Chippies
Prima flowers
Wooden camera
Kaisercraft stickers
Kaisercraft circle stamps
Kaszazz grid stamp
