" This You "

Hi all,
welcome to another gorgeous case file at

Today I want to share with you my take on case file 200 at CSI.
I must admit Im not a lover of these strong colours but I am more than happy with the result.

This is a photo of my youngest son " Wade " when he was so little. We used to borrow his Poppy's tractor and if we did and it was in our backyard then he would play on it.
If I didn't let him up on the tractor, well the tantrum was huge.
Wade would play on the tractor for as long as I would let him, pretending to drive it, change the gears and reversing it up and down the yard.

Case File 200 and the requirements.
The Scheme; all can be seen clearly
• Dark blue--almost black
• Yellow-green
• Turquoise
• White
• Bright red

The Evidence I used the following;
Stripes, grid pattern, stars, circles, alphabet stickers, solid background, other transportation

The Testimony;
I went for presentation this time and imitated the text for the Scene by using a rectangle
( I used more of a square one) letter as the first letter of my journalling.

Now for some closeups and other details...

Ink splats with some Inka paste in Turquoise
make up the background for this one.

My journaling and I must say I am not a great one for journalling, is on the
blue and white triangles..
CSI really makes me stretch outside my comfort zone on this element.

Love these ScrapFX arrows and I painted them
with Ceramcoat paint - Keylime.
The background paper you can see with the spaceman is from the picture on the
challenge at CSI. I thought it was just perfect.

A FEW MORE CLOSEUPS....

Embossed the  ScrapFX cogs with
Stampendous embossing powder aged marine.

" The Two of Us "

Hi and welcome back again to my little blog.

This was a layout for White With 1 for the month of April.
I am a little behind in uploading some of my blog
entries as you can see.
I completely forgot to load this one for
April but here it is now, I hope you like it.

This is a photo of my youngest son Wade and his girlfriend Kelsey when they were first going out.
It was such a long time ago now (approx 4 years) and they just look so young and so cute.
This was taken at a pirate party at our home.

I used a corrugated piece of cardstock and painted it white.
I left most of the paper backing on it except one small part in one of the corners.
O then dribbled heaps of the red colour down the grooves in the corrugation, the problem was that the gorgeous Kelsey said  it looked a lot like blood so hence why it was turned on the side.
I must say I do like it like this.

White With 1 April colour " Jester Red"

I used some drinking straws painted in the colour and wrapped thin lace around them.
Love the effect it made.
I added some bits of  "2Crafty interlocking grid pattern " chipboards
that I painted white and flicked some red glitter on.

I love the title in this red glitter. Just made it pop off the page.
I had fussy cut out a few red flowers of the right red but you can only
see them in the main photo.

The skeleton leaf die cut was perfect as I didn't want a solid leaf.
I painted the wooden filigree heart white.
Added a paper bow and glitter flowers to the cluster.

I love these tassel die cuts. I used red glitter paper to cut them out for this layout.
Bits of white string behind the photo with
die cut string of hearts running down the side of the photo.

More of the red tassels with beautiful glitter flowers and
a few white stars with the hearts.

More flowers, hearts and stars.
I finished the layout off with flicks of red paint.

Some of the items used:
Corrugated board
Ceramcoat -white & mixed red
glitter
Couture Creations Ultimate Crafts -" Magnolia Lane dies"
drinking straws
lace
string
FLOWERS;
Petaloo

Thanks for stopping by
and please leave a little love

keep on scrapping

" Beautiful Daughter "

Hi and welcome back.

This is my Design Team layout for White With 1
for the month of May.
This month's colour is the gorgeous
" Tangerine Tango "

This is my baby girl  " Kyra " during her pre-school year many years ago..
Kyra is now the mother of 2 gorgeous little girls of her own. So my baby is no longer that cute little girl she is now a beautiful young lady, Mum and wife. How quick does time fly by?

For this one I  randomly punched some of the edges and then inked all the edges.
Using a chevron punch and put two rows on the bottom and both sides. I love the way the under paper comes through the chevron arrows..
I embossed some different sized circles on plain white card stock.
Using Gelatos and an Aqua brush I slowly coloured in the circles making
sure I shaded them lighter to darker.

This month's gorgeous colour

Once I punched out the chevron shapes down the sides and I had inked the edges
I added those pretty little Prills to the edges.
Love those little balls of yumminess.

I love this large die cut butterfly.
I added some Gelato colour to the body and then some glitter.
You can see where I have used some texture paste on the circles on the background
and added some smaller solid circles.

All the chipboard is painted with white Ceramcoat paint.
The papers behind the phto's you can see I did a little punching on those too.

Added some doilies to the layers and then I thought
it would be really cute to add angel wings to this little angel.

Just a close up of the chevron punching with my embelly fav at the
moment which are Prills

Love this large butterfly and this was the perfect layout to use it on.
Its just a shame that you can't see the glitter on it because
it is beautiful.

Added some random  bits of chipboard left over from other projects.

Some of the items I used..
White card stock
Tangerine Cardstock
Prills
Gelatos
White embossing powder
2Crafty chipboard
ScrapFX chipboard
Ceramcoat paint
glitter
Enthaily flowers
Lace flowers
Pearls
Stampin Up chevron punch

Thanks for taking the time to stop by

Don't forget to leave a little love

" So Happy Together "

Well hello everyone and yes it has been awhile since I was last on here.

Life sometimes just gets busy.

So over the next few days I will be hoping to add heaps of my work, all the layouts that I just have not had chance to get onto my little blog.

So today I'm back and excited to be sharing with you
Major Case File 199 at Color, Stories and Inspiration (CSI)

This is a photo of my daughter Kyra and her now husband Scott at my wedding in 2008.
Kyra was my witness, which was a very unique situation.
My other two sons also took part in the ceremony but in different ways.

Part of the case file evidence is to use "Bokeh" so I did the whole background using this technique,
I used yellow and pink paint to color the background. Taking "Stampin UP White Whisper" ink I coloured circles of different sizes on the pink and white.

I don't know about anyone else but I find the Stampin UP Whisper White ink doesn't dry well.
What I did was to take some white embossing powder and cover the circles with that.
Using my heat gun, dry it, voila, works perfectly.

Have you had a look at CSI lately??
Lots of new Sponsors and each month we have had up to 14. Yes that's right 14 Sponsors.
More chances for you to win one of the amazing prizes on offer.

Oh and don't forget that the " Major " Case File goes for the whole month.

Major Case File 199
The Scheme - All 5 colours very evident
The Evidence- I used the following - Frame, other flowers, lace, pearls, metal, Musical notes, Bokeh,Camera, Wood, Circles and something transparent. There were only 3 things that I didn't use for this case file, I think that's a record for me.
The Testimony - I used the Visual Journal and took the idea of " Relationships " and on the rear of the layout I wrote a letter of thanks to my daughter for her standing up for me at my wedding. I think you will all understand that this was a very personal letter between myself and her.
 Not for sharing, Sorry !!

Now for some of the closeups and details.....

Love this butterfly cabochon and it is one of the four on the layout that I made myself. I bought the clear dome from overseas, adhered it to the picture that I wanted to use and this is the finished product, gorgeous and you are only limited by the pictures you find.

The Dusty Attic chipboard piece you can see at the bottom of the flowers is called
" Elegant Chain" and it comes in 2 pieces but I only used thee top piece this time.
Painted white and then smudged with yellow and pink Gelato's.
Adhered a couple of pearls here and there.

I tore a strip of striped paper from Studio Calico " Atlantic Collection" and placed it on the top part of the Bokeh paper.  I also used the same paper vertically behind the photos.
Stamped some butterflies and music notes on it with ColorBox " Seattle Sky".
Then where the 2 pieces met I placed some gorgeous lace.

Love these resin frames. You can place so many different things in them from photos to quotes, names, dates and the list goes on. I am in love with " Prills" the little beads that are dripping
off the frames and around the chipboard and a few other places.

More Prills, homemade cabochons and of course flowers..
Oh look the Prills have adhered in the gaps of the lace,
how pretty is that??

This chipboard frame was covered in gesso and then covered in glitter
just to make it look a little different and stand out on the page.
More of those stunning little prills.

The " Bokeh" background paper was my first attempt at this technique.
I must say it was relatively easy and I will definately doing it again.

I love these flowers along the bottom of the photo.
Can you see those gorgeous little pink and yellow birds peeking out from between the flowers? Some of my fav embellies.

Some of the other products I used...
White card stock
Gray cardstock
Kaisercraft pearls
FLOWERS
Prima Grace Vine" Almanac "
Kaisercraft Paper Blooms " Buttercream"
Enthaily " roses"
Prills " I'm A-Maized"
lace
Glitter
Gelatos
ScrapFX Chipboard

I hope you enjoy this layout
as much as I did creating it.

Till next time
thanks for stopping by
