" Siblings"

Hi everyone and thank you so much
for stopping by.
Today I am sharing a layout that I did for the challenge site Color,Stories and Inspiration as part of the design team.
This is a photo that was taken at my youngest son, " Wade "at his 21st birthday family dinner.
This is him on the right with his older sister and brother.
Its so hard to get these 3 together for a nice photo.

I distressed down each side of the layout and added a layer from Bo Bunny - Double Dot collection "Chiffon Vintage" . All the fussy cut flowers were inked around the edges with Distress ink.
The ScrapFX title was painted with  ceramcoat paint.

The Case File
The Scheme:  Buttery Yellow, Turquoise, orange, White and Copper Brown.
The Evidence: I used stripes, googly eyes, light bulbs, bows, labels and circles.
The Testimony: I wrote  my journalling on the back of the page. I wrote about the night which was for Wade's 21st.
Some of its personal (sorry) but some of it goes like this.. Happy 21st to my baby Wade. I begged and begged for you to have a party but no, you are not the man to be put in the spotlight. So we had a small family dinner and it turned out to be a funny night. I gave you the traditional socks and jocks, all wrapped separately. Photo time and of course in each photo except the one above, one of you three pulled a stupid face. This seems to be a tradition in our family when having photos taken. I must say on this night your "Siblings " played up more than you did.

I sat with a cuppa and fussy cut out heaps of the flowers to place around the photo. I found the little
bird in my Kaiser cut outs and added a googly eyes as per the case file.

The background paper Kaisercraft - Paradiso Collection " Sandy Toes"  had so much on it that all I did was add some Gesso with a credit card. Popped some tags from the Kaiser cutouts stash with the date on on of them,

I use some 2Crafty chicken wire which I inked with Distress ink
then some random brown embossing powder.
I found these layered butterflies in my stash and they are just perfect for this page.

You can see all the layers in this side photo. I added a key to
signify Wades 21st. I love the date stamp on the side.
CSI has a library with heaps of items you can print off and use on your layouts.
Here you can see the yellow paper in the layers, this is from the CSI library.

21 for his birthday and some fussy cut out butterflies to go with the
other layered butterflies.

I felt that the flowers needed some depth to them so I added
some buttery yellow pearl paste to the centre of them all.
Finished the layout off with some Petaloo flowers in the Turquoise.

This is case file 196

Some of the other items I used;
Brown bassill card stock
2Crafty chicken wire chipboard
Petaloo flowers
Gesso
lightbulb
metal key
string
CSI papers from the library

" You Rock My World"

Hi everyone, thanks so much for dropping by to have a peek at this layout, which I must add, is one of my all time favs.
This one I created for CSI as part of the DT which is for the " Major" case file no 191.
I just love the colours in this case file and of course I
love all things girly so what a combination for me.

This is my eldest granddaughter " Emelia"

I started by created the base page with watercolour which is one of the case file elements.
After if was dry I added the star bursts with some Archival ink and a stencil.
Tear a Kaszazz paper and adding a plain white card stock gave me my starting point.

Love these little owls and I added the "googly eyes" which are one of the case file evidence requirements.I picked up the string in one of the cheap shops recently.
Oh and the circular diamonds are from the Reject shop here in Australia.
They are also stocking a few bits of scrapping item.

I added the bunting which I edged in gold Inka gold paste as I did the edges of the layout.
The other items that I did was to paint the chipboard pieces with the Inka Gold too.

I found some beautiful white and gold ribbon in my stash which I cut out
some fishtail tags and I ran it through the Bigshot and made some gorgeous little bows
which you can see on the layout.

I added a huge white polka dot bow to the cluster with all those stunning flowers. There are doilies behind the cluster. The pink and gold butterflies are from a paper in one of those 6 x6 paper packs, I love those.

I added some dots to the background with the Inka Gold paste in the pink colour.
You can see I splashed around some white too.

How beautiful is this case file, so here are the elements that I use:

The Scheme; I used all five colours.
The Evidence: I use the following, watercolour (the base page) strips, birds, stars, triangles, string, banner, hearts and googly eyes.
The Testimony is on the back of the layout, I used the inspirational words and it reads:
Emelia, it is such a treat to have you come over and visit Nanny and Poppy. We both love to hear all your stories and now that you have started school they are longer stories.
On this day we sat on the back deck, with you on the table  with your treats.
I decided to get my camera and while you were engrossed in your tales I snapped these photos. I love that you had no idea what I was doing and the look of surprise on your face when you realised that I was taking them was just so funny.
I rotated the sketch a little but kept the photos the same
