" Life is Always Better with Family "

Hi everyone and welcome.
Today I want to share my Design Team layout I did recently for D-lish Scraps.
This one is very different for me as anyone that knows my style of scrapping will tell you.
This one has NO FLOWERS!!!!
Yes that's right not a flowers in sight.
I did this on a recent scrapbooking retreat and wanted to see if I could actual do a layout without a flower on it. I think it turned out really cool. It suits the photo of the  kids, bright, colourful and fun. Tilted the paper and punched random edges. I roughly drew arrows around the edge.
I stenciled random dots down the page and then painted lots
of different colours over the stencilling..

I have used heaps of D-lish goodies on this page, from flairs to enamel dots, wire, wooden arrows.

Lots of layers of different bits.
There is Washi Tape, punchella, arrows, papers, wire and the wow word.

All the wooden arrows I painted in different bright colours.
Really like the arrow paper for the background.

This little cluster is just jammed pack full of
D-lish  goodies.

I used stickers to create the title and they
were from a few  left over collections that I had left over in my stash.
Its a great way to use u all those left overs.

Some of the products that I have used.

" Magic will Happen Here "

Hi everyone and welcome, today I want to share a layout for case file 165 at CSI (Color,Stories and Inspiration) as part of the Design Team.
.
These are a couple of black and white photos I took at the start of  my new scrap room.
I have been using a room our home but like everyone one else it doesn't take long to outgrow your space. We are utilising a unused old shed to turn it into my new scrap space which my youngest son, Wade renamed
" The Confetti Box"
Stay tuned as I will be creating a whole post in the near future just to showcase to  you all the the transformation of
"The Confetti Box"

I love the colours in this case file and to me it just screamed a black and white photo.
I was able to use all the things I love to showcase my new room, flowers, inks, paints, chippy pieces.

Well hello again and welcome.
This post is a little different as it is my take on my very first challenge that I have ever designed.

The Scrap Suite have 4 different monthly Cybercrop challenges which are created by the Design Team.
This month was my turn to create a Cybercrop challenge and I came up with this one.

As the challenge was for a selfie I used this photo which was professionally
done a few years ago now. I love mahogany, gold and and beige together.
This layout has a real organic feel to it which is me.

I punched along the top and the bottom edges. Love the burlap flowers.
Added the over sized butterfly for a great effect.

Gold embossing on the title. Layers behind the photo.
Tilted the frame for something a little different.
D-lish paper flowers are a new fav of mine.

Lots and lots of gorgeous goodies on this layout.
All my bits and bobs are available from  D-lish Scraps

I found this old lamp post and covered it in some
beautiful patterned paper and cut it out
but left the base in a nice gold colour.

Magical Memories

Hi everyone and welcome to another post.
This one is for D-lish Scraps as part of my design team requirements.

I wanted to do a real girly layout full of all my favourite goodies which D-lish has. So that means flowers, bows, butterflies just to name a few. D-lish Scraps has so many beautiful embellishments that you just want to put heaps on your layouts.

This is a photo of my husband's Grandparents on his Father's side. I wanted to use an older photo on this layout and found this little beauty. The large amount of flowers on the layout replicated the flowers on her coat perfectly.
Wasn't the fashion just wonderful back then.
I tried a black and white photo first but found that one with a little sepia in it was just so much better.

To start with I tore my papers in strips to lay across the bottom of the page.
I did a bit of stenciling on the background with a large doily stencil.
The little purple pansies were fussy cut out of a sheet of decoupage paper I found

All my chippy and wooden pieces were painted with white paint after I applied Gesso as the base.
When I am using flowers I try to use different sizes and styles, I think it adds interest.

I love this bow die that I received for Chrissy this year.
The butterflies have been coated with Viva Perlen - pen.

I love the little " everlasting love" flair in the cluster.
The little white hearts throughout the cluster have been covered in glitter.

Some of the items used;
Blue Fern papers
Scrap papers (layers)
Plain bazzill
Gesso
Impasto
Kaisercraft doily stencil
Kaisercraft Stamps
D-lish Products;
Chipboard
Love frame
Flair
Butterflies
Wood embellies
fowers.
Ribbon
Gelatos

" Caution Cute Kid at Play "

Hi everyone and welcome to another wonderful case file at CSI (Color, Stories and Inspiration)

This is my youngest and I might say very cute son, Wade in the photo. This was taken many years ago and he just loved this bike. He would ride it no matter what the weather. I remember the day that his training wheels came off was just the best day ever for him. He kept that bike way after he had grown out of it and cried when he finally had to get a new one.

The case file Elements:
The Scheme, sky blue, candy red, apple blue, lime green, yellow
The Evidence; I used transportation elements, cogs, wet medium, polka dots, strips and speech bubbles
The Testimony: I journalled inside the speech bubbles on this layout.

I love the Scrap FX chipboard that I used here, its like
entwined pipes and I painted them black.

Cogs, flowers and hearts and painted and I
tried not to over do them, as it is a boy layout.

I love the train border on the top of the photo.
Layers and Washi tape just adds to this one.

More cogs and flowers and I have added a die cut bike to the cluster.

" Fabulous Frog "

Hello and welcome to another post for CSI (Color, Stories and Inspiration)

This is the " Major " case file 163 for the month. With the major case file you have the entire month to complete it.
How good is that ??
The Major case file always has a brilliant sketch attached just to make it that little more interesting. The very talented Emma Stafrace composes the sketches and this one is a beauty.

I love the way the papers are on an angle on this layout, just a little different. I like to try different things, makes life interesting. What do you think about the Washi Tape placed around the edges of the layers?? I like it and think it would be awesome on a boyz page. My title was made up from a Kaisercraft stickers sheet and some Thickers.

This is " Major " Case File 163 and the sketch by Emma.
Don't forget you have the whole month to complete this one.

Case File Elements

The Scheme: medium green, turquoise green, banana yellow, porcelain white and fallow brown
The Evidence: I used.. fabric, frogs, frames, washi tape, checkered pattern, watercolour, textured paper.
The Testimony: My testimony is on the tag behind the photo and it read as above.

" # Love "

Welcome back to another of my Design Team creations for D-lish Scraps

I love being a part of this wonderful store as I definitely love adding lots and lots of goodies to my layouts and this one certainly has that.

This is a photo of my daughter "Kyra" and myself at a recent 21st birthday party. I think aqua is such a great colour as you can team it with just about any other colour.

I've layered some paper strips on the background of this layout,
then added some stenciling with texture paste.
Gelatos were used to give the colour.
Random black stamping finished it all off.

D-lish butterflies and Scrap FX chipboard in the way of a heart with the word love.
I am a real fan of the Hash tag bits which I popped some pearls in.
I added some of
D-lish's autumn leaves rather than the usual green ones.

I love the Scrap FX chippies and the Spiral Stamens which I know they only have red left at the moments.
You can see all the layers in this pic and some I punched an edge on.

More of the Hash tag but these are frames for my photo.
Prima flowers which  I adore.

I splattered inks and paints all over the layout when I
had finished adhering everything.
 Usually I do it before.
 Just trying something new.

" Little Lady "

Hello everyone,
I'm so excited to be able to finally share my first layout as a design team member with

I love to do monochromatic layouts but never seem to have enough time to play.  I am over the moon that I'm was accepted onto the team.
But now that Im a team member I will be doing them on a regular basis.
The April colour is "Raspberry Wine"
I just love it, its so girly and that what I love to do , girly layouts.
This is a photo of my youngest granddaughter "Eliza". We were playing hide and seek in my backyard when I captured this very cheeky smile as her little face peeked out from behind a candle holder. The flowers surrounding her face makes it look like she is peeking out from behind the flowers, love it !!

The background has lots of strips of papers and texture paste.
I used a couple of different stencils on the background.
Once dry I drizzled inks down the page until
I got the effect I was after.
I love to punch the edges and add bits of lace.

This is such a girly colour, love it!!
Why don't you come play along??

Doilies and flowers just gorgeous.
All the chippy pieces have been painted with white paint
and on the ends of the flourish chippy pieces I added some glitter.

It took me heaps of trials to get this fairy to the right colour
but I think she just adds that something special to the layout.

Theres the hints of glitter on the flourish chippies.

So many different beautiful flowers

Bits of lace, plasterers tape and stamping

Even tucked some gauze into the flower clusters
I love to add and add bits and bobs to my layouts.

Clear cabochons and butterflies finished off the layout.

Some of the items I used;
Cardstock
Prima flowers
Enthaily Flowers
D-lish flowers
pearls
Lindy Stamp Gang Inks
Glitter
2Crafty Chipboard
Lace
Plasterers tape
Kaszazz stamps
Kaisercraft stamps
Distress inks
