" Happy Birthday "

Hi every one and it seems like so long since I've posted anything.
We all get busy with life and I suppose Im no different.
Well today I would like to share with you all a layout that I created as part of  the design team at Color Stories and Inspiration CSI
This is for case file 171 at CSI.

This is a photo of myself and my youngest granddaughter " Eliza" on my recent birthday. You can see that Eliza is helping Nanny blow out the candles on my cake.

CASE FILE 171...
The Scheme; light carnation pink, bright carnation pink, tan, white and gold-brown.
The Evidence; I used- stripes, chevrons, banner, other food items, dots, artisan shapes, wood, texture paste.
The Testimony; I wrote an invitation which you can see to the left of the photo and it reads... Eliza you are invited to Nanny's birthday party on the 17th of July. Come along and help Nanny celebrate. Yummy food to eat. In the testimony I also used Inspirational words, celebrate and yummy.

Now for some details and some closeups.....

I cut out heaps of shapes from some left over pattern papers.
Stuck them down in the shape that I wanted. Gesso fairly heavy but remember to
leave some of the pattern showing through.
Everything including the chipboard pieces was stuck down
before I added any colour to the background.

Flowers and some more chipboard. The huge butterfly was a die cut that I
inked with a few
different colours including tan until
I got the colour I wanted.

The frames were covered in gold micro beads, I love those things.
They are my new fav embellishment. I found the little enamel embellishment in my
stash and it fitted into the case file elements. The fourish chippy was covered with Gesso and
then I smudged Gelato on it.

You can see that I distressed the edges of the papers. I made the banner and tried to drape it across the page but I preferred to stand it up like a flag. Diamonties added and white paint. The little pegs on the photo I put glitter on them to make them stand out.

You can see in this pic I added some black stamping of butterflies to the background.
Another photo frame with those delicious micro beads. I doodled around the edge with a black gel pen.

I didn't matt this photo but framed it with the wire which is a nice effect rather than matting photos all the time.  You can see all the layers of goodies on this layout.

I used so much product on this layout I will try to list as many as I can;
cardstock, scrap pattern papers, wire string, gesso. impasto, wooden pegs, 2Crafty and Scrap fx chipboard piecesmicro beads, Prima flowers, D-lish flowers, D-lish flairs, diamonds, string, Lindy Stamp Gang Inks, Archival Ink, Gelatos Kaisercraft stamp pads,

" Time Goes By"

Morning and welcome everyone
This is a layout that I created for a challenge at The Scrap Suite on Facebook for D-lish Scraps.
Each second month each of the Design Team has to create a challenge and a layout showcasing that challenge.
This is mine and its a number 3 challenge.

The idea is to use as many of your items on the layout in three's.  For this layout I have used
3 x papers, 3 x colours, 3 x photos, 3 x words on Title, 3 x butterflies, 3 x laces, 3 x  each of the flowers, 3 x stamps on the background, 3 x fussy cut flourishes and 3 x doilies..

This photo is part of an album I am making for a friend, very cute little girl.

I love all the flowers and try to cluster them together.
I die cut out some white flourishes to poke out of the clusters.
You can see I punched around the inside layer too.
I little zip to hang down from the cluster.

Lace around the edges then I inked them. I randomly punched around the edges.
Adding frayed gauze to the clusters softens them

The chipboard branches were embossed and then I used a script stamp on them.
A pearl for the centre.

Loving all the lace on this layout, its adds to the real pretty girly feel of the layout.

I have embossed the butterflies white also.
Three doilies are behind the photo.

Some of the products used;
Papers
Kaisercraft "Blue Bay collection"
plain cardstock
Chipboard
flowers
butterflies
leaves
doily
gelatos
Jo Sonja paint
laces
pearls
Big Brushes

" Thank Heaven for little Girls "

Hi and I hope your all having a
wonderful day so far.

Today is day two of  my three  D-lish Scraps Design Team posts.
Pop back tomorrow to see the last one of my three.

Well this is one very special layout.
The family of the little girl in this photo were devastated by the recent floods in the Hunter Valley.
Sadly her family lost absolutely everything including all their cherished photos except for a couple of this little one.
I was asked if I would be interested in donating a completed layout to the family of course I jumped at the chance to do it.

So this is it..

I decided that the layout needed to be all things girly but as I was on a retreat I was limited in what I had with me. So it would have to be ribbons and bows with flowers and butterflies oh and I forgot the lace and ladybugs.

I stenciled some butterflies onto the background and added colour with my Gelatos. Fussy cut out some fans and flowers from some papers that I had with me. All the chipboard was painted white and then added glitter. Used my Big Brushes to add stamping to the background.

I used the polka dot ribbon to put a big bow under the photo and I love the interlocking hearts what I added to the flower cluster at the bottom of the photo. Die cit out some green leaves to poke around the flowers

Distressed edges and then smudged Gelatos for colour. The butterflies I covered in Perle-pen and a couple of the flowers I had to colour with Gelatos to match the colour of the layout.
I splattered Gelato colour all over the page too.

Lace flowers behind the photos and those pretty fans.
I tried to match the colour of her dress to the overall
colour of the layout.

I so love using those sweet little ladybugs on my pages especially when I create
 beautiful flowers clusters.

Some of the products that I used;
plain cardstock
Gelatos
lace
D-lish, chipboard, title, flowers, butterflies
Prima and Enthaily flowers
Kaisercraft cutouts
Ribbon
glitter
Stencil

" Let the Good Times Roll "

Well hello everyone and thank you all so much for taking the time to have a peek at my little blog.
Today I am very happy to share with you a layout that I recently did at a retreat in the beautiful Hunter Valley, NSW for D-lish Scraps as part of the Design Team.

We were all lucky enough to have the very talented Lisa Oxley teach us this stunning and very colourful technique at the retreat.

Of course this layout was completed using all the beautiful embellishments from D-lish Scraps

On a blank piece of cardstock we stamped the outline of the lady.
Then using Dylusions we added the wonder rainbow of
colour down the page.
Once I had dried the layout I used my Water colour pencils to add
all the beautiful colour to the lady and make her come alive.

D-lish have some fantastic flairs and the one in this photo was just perfect to document this retreat.
As is the case at most retreats you have the traditional
group photo and this retreat was no different.
I am second from the left.
I must say it was an amazing bunch of ladies and I think that
 everyone had the best time.

Because of the bold colours of the Dylusions I decided to do all the chipboard in black to pop it off the page. I matted the photo in black, green and the striped paper.
Lots of stamping with the matching distress inks.

Lots of D-lish flowers but I placed them to match the colours of the Dylusions.
The black flourish chipboard from Scrap FX is magical winding through the flowers.

D-lish have some really pretty flowers and other embellishments
and are so worth having a look at when you are in the market
for some top quality embellishments.

Some of the products used;
white cardstock
Archival ink
Distress inks
Dylusions
D-lish- flowers, chipboard, flair and title
gel pen
Water colour pencils

thanks for taking a peek here
have a great day
and till next time

" Cherish this Moment "

Hello and welcome to another one of my catch up posts.
I had completely forgotten to share this last month so here it is.
This layout was created as part of the Design Team at

This is a photo of a friends daughter which is part of the album that I have been asked to do for her.
Playing around with the photos I came up with splitting one and place it behind the main photo but one up one down. Really like this effect.

I am such a fan of this paper by Prima that I love when I can use it on a layout.
When I first did all the colours on the background I hated it and nearly scrapped the paper. I persevered and love it.

All the chippy pieces have been embossed with bronze.
I love to alter embellishments so they are a little different and
the tittle was something that I altered too. I added the half a cog and
layed a row of diamonties under it.

How beautiful are the D-lish flowers and I am so happy that I get to play with them.
I am using hessian more and more on my layouts and
D-lish have it in some wonderful colours.

So much black stamping on the background
and I did add some of the beautiful lace/ribbon from Green Tara.
Doesn't the hessian look so pretty coming out from behind the photos?

Some of the products used..
D-lish stores have such a fantastic range and I used their flowers, hessian and chipboard.
Prima paper, Green Tara ribbon, diamonties

Thanks for looking and till next time

" Totally Loveable "

Hi everyone and today I'm sharing a layout that I can't believe but it only took me 4 hours to complete.
Yes, 4 hours from start to finish. Isn't funny how sometimes you can spends hours and even days on one layout and then when the "Mojo" is just right you can create one with no effort.
Anyway this is for the Major Case file 169 at

This is my gorgeous little granddaughter Emelia. We decided to take her and her sister Eliza to " Oakdale  Farm " for some special Nanny and Poppy time.
What a wonderful day we had with these 2 gorgeous little people. We watched as they walked and looked at all the farm animals, fed the chickens and the ducks. They even were able to hand feed the baby goats and sheep with a bottle. Oakdale Farm is hands on so all the animals are used to be handed by the children which makes for a wonderful day.
We had a picnic lunch on the ground and then they played on the playground swings and slides. Two little girls were so tired after a fantastic day that they had a lovely sleep all the way home.

To create this layout I took inspiration from Emma Stafrace and her brilliant sketch. I tore a piece of the top and the bottom of the paper then I laid the flower paper over the top part.

Major Case File 169 with the sketch attached.

Case File requirements;
The Scheme.. Turquoise, white, creamsicle orange, dark coppery brown and beige.
The Evidence; I used Solid background, light bulbs, flourishes, diamond shapes, stencil, pearls.
The Testimony;  used the Topic " Document Family Fun" which I wrote down the side of the layout and it reads;
What a wonderful day at Oakdale Farm 2014. We watched you play with all the animals, feed the sheep, pat the horse that bit you on the tummy. Then you played in the playground for ages. We had lunch and then went home all tired but very happy.

All the chippy pieces were painted in the turquoise.
I die cut out some brick work and added it to the background.
I cut strips to make the tails coming down the page.

In the fish tails I added some washi tape and daisy lace
then some beautiful beads to the centres.
Pearls from Flourish with Bling drip down the page.
You can see the hessian leaves, I hand cut them out to the size I wanted.

Matted the photos int he same cardstock as I used on the background layer.
Milly's name was added to the frame which is the left over from a
2Crafty round frames packet. (never one to waste anything)

So many beautiful flowers on this layout. I didn't have any of the turquoise colour
so I painted some white ones to match.
This is such a great way to match your embellies to your page..paint them.

You can see I added a row of daily lace to the top and the bottom of the page.
It fits into the daisy lace in the fish tails. I added some diamond texture paste to the
background as per the case file requirements.

" Time Goes By"

Hi everyone and today I am super pleased to share this layout I have created as part of  the Design Team for White With 1

The colour for this month is "Masala" which is best described as a plum/brown colour and is gorgeous.

This is a photo pf my mother-in-law " Christina" who unfortunately passed away before I had a chance to meet and get to know her. I decided that the colour for this months challenge was perfect for the colours in these old photos.
I hope you enjoy..

" Masala" what a stunning colour.

A few close ups and details...
So many layers on this layout. Lace, doilies and all things girly.
I distress the edges then punched random along that edge.
Added some plasterers tape then some lace flowers.
Made some bows out of the papers from the layers.

Lots of yummy flowers. I only had 4 flowers in
the right colour so I painted some to match.
Plasterers tape on the background too.

All my chippy pieces were painted.
Added some pearls to the background
.
You can see I paint splatters onto the background
to add another texture.
Lots of goodies hidden throughout his layout.

This is a great shot to show you all the layers.

plain bazzill
Bo Bunny Rose Cafe paper
gesso
pearls
Lace
2Crafty Chipboard
Scarp FX Chipboard
