My Second reveal for the month of November for Color Stories and Inspiration ( CSI )
Case File S365-9
Hi and welcome everyone this is my take on Case File S365- 9. I loved the soft Autumn colours of this case file and thought this photo of myself at Wentworth Falls lookout just out of Katoomba, New South Wales up in the Blue Mountains was perfect for this challenge.
The whole case file to me had a country/autumn feel to it.

This is Case File S365-9 at CSI.
The Scheme; All colours used; Khaki green, Eru, Warm Gray,Bright Yellow and Bright Orange. The Evidence; I used the following, Leaves/branches, Transportation accents, mists, metal, fence, string The Testimony; I have documented the journalling on the tags behind the photos and finished it on the back of the layout. This is my story; My hubby and I took a day trip to the beautiful Blue Mountain in New South Wales. We went via Richmond and being a lovely Autumn day the air was crisp and the temp slightly cooler. The leaves were all those beautiful colours of green, reds, rich oranges, browns and yellows. Some of the tress were already bare with their leaves scattered all over the ground around their trunks. We made our way to Katoomba to have a look at the mamagnificententworth Falls. We got to the lookout only to find that we couldn't see a thing with all the fog shrouding the mountain and valleys. We went back into Katoomba for a walk around the shops and the nynumerousntique shops. You know your getting old when they are selling " Antiques" that you have either used as a child or in our case still use at home. We had a giggle at that one. We then drove around until wee found this gorgeous little restaurant tucked away in the tress and decided to have lunch and hopefully wait for the fog to lift. Steak sandwiches and coffees for lunch and with our tummies full we were on our way back to the look out. We parked the car and walked to the look out to see nothing but fog and not a mountain in sight. Just as we were about to walk back to the car, there was a split in the fog and we managed to snap 2 photos, one of me and one of my hubby. We made our way back to the car and continued our road trip. Winding through the mountain roads we toured Lithgow and all the little towns on the way. We stopped at an apple orchard on the side of the road and bought the most amazing apples you could ever imagine. Nothing like freshly picked Granny Smith apples straight off the trees, so crisp so tasty, yummy. Travelling through all the sleepy little country towns as we made our way home, stopping when we wanted to look at something that caught our eyes, what a wonderful day trip we had

NOW FOR THE CLOSE UPS AND SOME DETAILS
|
Lots of flowers ( of course), and I found the metal penny farthing in my stash and thought it was sensational on this page. A couple of Kaisercraft Collectables here and there. The wagon wheels are just an anchor die that I just cut the knobs off. |
|
I added some Micro Beads to the ends of the Chippie pieces for a bit of realism. |
|
Lots of texture paste and I used paints for the colours on the background. Finished it off with some stamping. Found a pic of the wishing well and fussy cut that out to add to the page. |
|
All the chippie pieces were painted to match the background. I added some painted metal for a bit of pop.
Some of the items used;
Monte Mart Gesso and Texture paste
Bazzill
Bo Bunny back to basic paper
Hessian
2Crafty chipboard
Prima flowers
Pentaloo flowers
Kaisercraft Collectables
Micro beads
bits of pieces of left over papers
