" So Happy Together "

Well hello everyone and yes it has been awhile since I was last on here.

Life sometimes just gets busy.

So over the next few days I will be hoping to add heaps of my work, all the layouts that I just have not had chance to get onto my little blog.

So today I'm back and excited to be sharing with you
Major Case File 199 at Color, Stories and Inspiration (CSI)

This is a photo of my daughter Kyra and her now husband Scott at my wedding in 2008.
Kyra was my witness, which was a very unique situation.
My other two sons also took part in the ceremony but in different ways.

Part of the case file evidence is to use "Bokeh" so I did the whole background using this technique,
I used yellow and pink paint to color the background. Taking "Stampin UP White Whisper" ink I coloured circles of different sizes on the pink and white.

I don't know about anyone else but I find the Stampin UP Whisper White ink doesn't dry well.
What I did was to take some white embossing powder and cover the circles with that.
Using my heat gun, dry it, voila, works perfectly.

Have you had a look at CSI lately??
Lots of new Sponsors and each month we have had up to 14. Yes that's right 14 Sponsors.
More chances for you to win one of the amazing prizes on offer.

Oh and don't forget that the " Major " Case File goes for the whole month.

Major Case File 199
The Scheme - All 5 colours very evident
The Evidence- I used the following - Frame, other flowers, lace, pearls, metal, Musical notes, Bokeh,Camera, Wood, Circles and something transparent. There were only 3 things that I didn't use for this case file, I think that's a record for me.
The Testimony - I used the Visual Journal and took the idea of " Relationships " and on the rear of the layout I wrote a letter of thanks to my daughter for her standing up for me at my wedding. I think you will all understand that this was a very personal letter between myself and her.
 Not for sharing, Sorry !!

Now for some of the closeups and details.....

Love this butterfly cabochon and it is one of the four on the layout that I made myself. I bought the clear dome from overseas, adhered it to the picture that I wanted to use and this is the finished product, gorgeous and you are only limited by the pictures you find.

The Dusty Attic chipboard piece you can see at the bottom of the flowers is called
" Elegant Chain" and it comes in 2 pieces but I only used thee top piece this time.
Painted white and then smudged with yellow and pink Gelato's.
Adhered a couple of pearls here and there.

I tore a strip of striped paper from Studio Calico " Atlantic Collection" and placed it on the top part of the Bokeh paper.  I also used the same paper vertically behind the photos.
Stamped some butterflies and music notes on it with ColorBox " Seattle Sky".
Then where the 2 pieces met I placed some gorgeous lace.

Love these resin frames. You can place so many different things in them from photos to quotes, names, dates and the list goes on. I am in love with " Prills" the little beads that are dripping
off the frames and around the chipboard and a few other places.

More Prills, homemade cabochons and of course flowers..
Oh look the Prills have adhered in the gaps of the lace,
how pretty is that??

This chipboard frame was covered in gesso and then covered in glitter
just to make it look a little different and stand out on the page.
More of those stunning little prills.

The " Bokeh" background paper was my first attempt at this technique.
I must say it was relatively easy and I will definately doing it again.

I love these flowers along the bottom of the photo.
Can you see those gorgeous little pink and yellow birds peeking out from between the flowers? Some of my fav embellies.

Some of the other products I used...
White card stock
Gray cardstock
Kaisercraft pearls
FLOWERS
Prima Grace Vine" Almanac "
Kaisercraft Paper Blooms " Buttercream"
Enthaily " roses"
Prills " I'm A-Maized"
lace
Glitter
Gelatos
ScrapFX Chipboard

I hope you enjoy this layout
as much as I did creating it.

Till next time
thanks for stopping by

Carol xo
